What to do on Valentine’s Day

If you are wondering what to do on Valentine’s Day for your honey it isn’t hard. There are only three things you need to do in order to make your Valentine feel special on Valentine’s day.

1.) Write down how you feel. It is simple… grab a piece of paper and write down a few lines, it doesn’t have to be a novel. You could write about your favorite memory with this person, 3 things you love about them, or a simple “I want you to be my Valentine because I love you. Will you be my Valentine? (check yes or no).” Men, women love this silly stuff. Women, tell your man that you are proud of him and respect him… those words will make him feel like the words “I love you” make you feel.

2.) Get a small token of appreciation for your Valentine. A bouquet of her favorite flowers for your lady… ladies, a six pack of your man’s favorite beer. You don’t have to spend loads of money to show someone you care. You just need a little gift that lets them know you paid attention to something they said (like “sunflowers are so beautiful” or when he said “I really liked that beer”).

3.) Spend time talking with your Valentine. This is the most important step to creating a great Valentine’s Day for your sweetheart. One recent study suggests that on average couples only spend 30 minutes a day talking to one another (this is including conversations like “what should we eat for dinner” and “will you take the trash out”). Take your lover out for a Valentine’s dinner. It doesn’t have to be a budget busting dinner. The point of going to dinner on Valentine’s Day is to spend time together talking one-to-one, not to show off how much money you can spend. Taking the time to reconnect is one of the best habits you and your partner can form…
